COUNTY = CRIMINAL H= ISTORY RECORD SEARCH

All felonies and misdemeanors are filed in county courts. Based on your applicant’s seven-year residential history, NBI, Inc. investigators w= ill search the corresponding county courthouses for any felonies and misdemeano= rs committed within the last seven years. There are some states within the United States whereby only “Felony” court records are available. Any questions regarding “Felony Only” states must be addressed with your NBI, Inc. Marketing Representative. Results will include cases that have been dismissed as well as convictions. If a record is found, NBI, Inc. will prov= ide full case information, including the court location, case number, date of offense, case type, charge(s), disposition date and full disposition as it appears in the court dockets.

National Data is comprised of Department of Corrections= and criminal court record data, National Sex Offender Public Registry, the OFAC Terrorist database, Patriot Act Data, Interpol and National Background Investigations’ proprietary database. Data is updated dependent on the individual state. The National Sex Offender Public Registry currently has d= ata from 34 states.  All states are expected to be available by January 2006.

 

SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY

All states have actively pursued community notificatio= n of current address information for released sex offenders (Megan’s Law).  NBI, Inc. will search established state registries and report any known convicted sex offenders and/or violent predators that have registered their current address with th= eir local law enforcement officials. The report may identify the individual by = name and date of birth, race, height, weight, physical markings such as scars or tattoos, description of crime(s) committed and incarceration location. The = data in individual state registries is considered “real time” and is forwarded
