Youth Leader Retreat… for Youth Pastors and their Volunteer Leaders

Program Description: Enjoy a weekend away at Camp Patmos on beautiful Kelleys Island in which you will be encouraged as a youth leader to continue to have an impact in the lives of your students. Special speaker and youth ministry vet Duffy Robbins will equip you with ideas that can make you and your youth ministry more effective in ministering to students during the main sessions. Other time is set aside for the leaders from your church to get together and bond as a team and address issues specific to your ministry. Last by not least…you will also have the opportunity to meet, fellowship, and swap ideas with other youth leaders in and around Ohio.

Date: August 21-23,

Cost: There is Friday-Saturday option- $95 and a Friday-Sunday Option- $125 [Register]

* If you really want to bring your children(ages 5-15) and need child care/ supervision, a program is being developed to provide that opportunity for you. Contact Camp Patmos for more information.

Speaker: Duffy Robbins… Duffy is the chair of the youth ministry department at Eastern University. Duffy stays very busy traveling around the country speaking to students and youth leaders at camps and conferences. He has also published a number of books in area of youth ministry including, “The Ministry of Nurture: A Youth Leaders Guide for Discipling Teenagers.”  

Recreation: There will be time for plenty of fun. The activities that will be available include… boat rides, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, sailing, kayaking, swimming, island bike rides, sand volleyball, basketball, softball, horseshoes, putt putt and much, much more!!!

9:15pm            Opening Session w/ Duffy                

10:30pm          Free Time/ Hang Out/ Pop House Open/ Pool Open/ Athletics

* Go to bed when you feel like it or not at all!!

 Saturday  

8:00-8:45am   Breakfast

9:00-11:00am Church Specific Training Times to be led by Youth Pastors

11:15am          Morning Session with Duffy

12:30pm          Lunch

1:15-5:45pm   Open Activities/ Free Time

6:00pm            Dinner

7:00pm            Evening Session

8:45pm            Tram to Ferry for those who will Departing Saturday Evening

9:00pm            Free Time/ Hang Out/ Pop House Open/ Athletics       

Sunday  

9:00am            Breakfast

10:00am          Your Time/ Personal Devotions

11:00am          Sunday Morning Chapel with Duffy

12:30pm          Lunch… following lunch you have the rest of the day to do with it as you would like. Most of the camp activities will be made available to those who would like to participate.

What to bring:
bedding, towels, one-piece swimwear and cover-up, footwear to wear in the lake, bible, and your church credit card to treat your staff in the camp store.
